Our client, a prominent player in the field of media, aimed to deploy a cutting-edge public advertising display system across various locations, such as buildings, elevators, and crowded areas. Their primary goal was to differentiate themselves from competitors by offering unique features. The client believed that capturing data on foot traffic, viewer count, and viewing duration would provide a significant advantage.
Axalize proposed the development of an application running in the background on advertising displays. This application would utilize the built-in cameras to monitor the surrounding security and simultaneously count and analyze the passing audience. Enhanced modules for predicting gender and age were integrated to provide more valuable insights into the reports. The collected data would be continuously transmitted to a server and consolidated on a user-friendly dashboard with visually intuitive charts. Administrators could delve deeper into specific metrics or export custom reports.
To implement this project, Axalize provided a dedicated team of 6 individuals, including a Project Manager, 2 AI Specialists, 1 System Engineer, 1 Developer, and 1 QA specialist.
The core tech stack included Python, OpenCV, and Milvus. Throughout development, the team focused on optimizing processing, transitioning from CPU to GPU for improved system performance, and minimizing the impact on advertising display functionality.
- The Beta version of the project was accepted after 3 months of development, with the official release following within 5 months. Ongoing optimization and the introduction of additional features have been consistently delivered.
- The client expressed utmost satisfaction with the project's progress, quality, and seamless communication between the development team and their staff.
